Broadoak Mathematics and Computing College has been welcoming regular visitors from Taunton Music Service to help with instrumental and vocal tuition.

And the partnership was celebrated with a performance encompassing styles as diverse as Haydn and the Rolling Stones.

Broadoak head of music Naomi Aves said: “Since Taunton Music Service started providing the contemporary instrumental and vocal tuition, we have seen a significant increase in the number of our students taking the opportunity to learn.

“It is really encouraging to see so many of them of varying degrees of ability finding the courage to perform on their own or in a small group in front of their family.”
