RECEPTION pupils at St Martins Junior School in Worle got their thinking caps on to design the school’s new outdoor activity area.
Youngsters and their parents were tasked with going home and coming up with creative ideas by construction firm Wilmott Dixon, and the winners of the competition were announced at a special assembly on Tuesday.
Imogen Old won first prize, while four other pupils were given prizes which included gardening equipment, a wheelbarrow and books.
The area will now contain a sensory garden, a sand pit, climbing area and a willow tunnel and den.
Wilmott Dixon is set to start work shortly, with the new area due to be completed by Easter.
