AN EX-ENGLAND international rugby player visited his old school to encourage students in the game.

Nigel Redman coached the pupils at Priory Community school by taking a question and answer session with Year 10 boys, who have been the South West Champions for two years in a row. He then took them out onto the field to show handling and tackling skills.

The school holds a lot of talent in this field, with two young stars coming from the same family. Jake Caulfield, aged 18, who also went to Priory, played for London Irish at 16 and now, at the age of 18, he has just signed a professional deal with Bristol and made his debut in the British and Irish cup.

And his brother Josh Caulfield, aged 14, has this week been called up one year early to play for the Bristol County Squad, under 16s group.

Nigel only started playing rugby when he attended Priory Community School. After a high-flying career he is now with the Rugby Football Union, coaching the highest qualified coaches in the RFU.
