SCHOOL children interested in working in health and social care were invited to Weston General Hospital for a special career day.
The 34 pupils from Clevedon School and Churchill Community School took part in the Interactive School Day last week.
They met up with nurses from the hospital and learnt how to feed patients and prevent and treat choking.
Community specialists in physiotherapy, occupational therapy and podiatry also gave demonstrations.
Director of workforce and corporate services, Alison Kingscott, said: “The trust was very pleased to repeat this very successful open day and it was hugely encouraging to see so many young people interested in pursuing a career in the NHS.”
