ONE of the most popular and enduring characters from children’s literature paid a special visit to a Weston school this week.

Willy Wonka – owner of the world’s most famous fictional chocolate factory – dropped in on pupils at Worlebury St Paul’s First School.

The Roald Dahl creation’s visit was part of the school’s visual literacy project, which aims to bring books to life to help foster a love of reading in young people.
