WESTHAVEN School’s new head teacher says she hopes to continue the ‘outstanding’ work the school is doing throughout 2011.
Cate Hill took the helm at the Uphill-based special needs school in September, having previously worked as deputy head teacher at Knowle DGE, a special needs school based in Bristol.
Mrs Hill, who was born in Weston and grew up in Yatton, said: “I feel passionate about providing the best for all children regardless of their needs.
“We’re hopeful that we can sort out provision for over-16s, so they can use the school as well, and we’re looking forward to starting our new retail training outlet, where our pupils will learn out to market and sell Westhaven goods.
“I’m looking forward to carrying on the outstanding work that the school as been doing.”
