BUDDING engineers picked up some top tips as part of a school challenge.
A group of 50 students from Worle Community School were involved in a collaborative engineering project with national naval engineering company BMT Defence Services.
Their challenge was to design and construct a model salvage ship that could pick up the most number of pennies from the bottom of a pool.
They had to make a crane and motor-driven gearbox that was stable on a floating platform while lifting the coins.
