YOUNG sporting enthusiasts from Mark First School visited the Avenue Tennis Club in Burnham to pick up tips on how to become the next Andy Murray or Serena Williams.
The year two pupils spent the morning at the club, starting with some fun warm-up sessions with coaches Vinny Duddy and Craig Phillips before progressing on lessons in how to hit backhand and forehand shots.
Mr Duddy said: “It’s an adventure for the kids as they are coming out of their school environment and coming to our club where it is far easier to teach them.
“We are hoping that by getting the kids to the club we will encourage them to come back and get involved in the tennis squads which meet throughout the week.”
