A POETRY slam, dressing up days and readings from authors were just some of the activities during a celebration of literature week.
A POETRY slam, dressing up days and readings from authors were just some of the activities during a celebration of literature week.
Members of the Weston Federation of Schools took part in a number of events including the slam at Worle Community School.
A total of 13 students from Broadoak Mathematics and Computing College went along to perform their poem in front of a panel of judges.
They spoke about World War One and before long it was clear the competition was a two-horse race between Broadoak and Wyvern.
Ironically Broadoak's second team won the contest and took the individual team gold with their performance of a poem called Winning Isn't Everything.
