HIGH-KICKING students got to grips with judo during a sporting event in North Somerset.
Youngsters visited Worle Community School to enjoy a day of activities as part of a year six Gifted and Talented event.
International athlete Chris Millard coached the children and John Wheeldon gave a lesson in judo.
Youngsters learnt about the basic etiquette of the sport and were shown how to do ground work and throws.
Later, they took part in a dance workshop and moved their hips to music from Pirates of the Caribbean.
The whole event was organised by North Somerset Schools Sports Partnership - a Government scheme to provide more sports opportunities for young people.
