CHILDREN will have a lasting memory of the Diamond Jubilee thanks to a community group.

Worlebury Residents’ Association has commissioned commemorative mugs in celebration of the Queen’s 60-year reign.

As well as producing a limited edition porcelain mug, the group teamed up with business owner Ruth Royce to produce a mug for each child at Worlebury St Paul’s Primary School.

The residents’ association joined up with the school to produce a ceramic mug featuring the official Diamond Jubilee emblem and the school logo.

Association chairman Jacqueling Harris said: “A Diamond Jubilee is a special event and not many people live to see two, so it seemed fitting to present each child with a memento of the occasion.”
