A SOMERSET school is celebrating after a third of its A-level results were A* and A grades.

There were happy tears and hugs at The Kings Of Wessex Academy’s results day in Cheddar this morning (Thurs).

The school, in Station Road, has an A-Level pass rate of 99.4 per cent – up from last year’s 98 per cent.

A school spokesman said: “Kings’ students have once again excelled, their results highlight their hard work and they rightly deserve both praise and recognition.

“We are so proud of our students’ achievements and wish them every success for their future.”
