SIDCOT students have once again surpassed the national average for A Level results, with an overall pass rate of 98.6 per cent.

Of those, 81 per cent were A*-C grades and 20 per cent of students gained at least three A-levels at a grade A or above.

Headmaster Iain Kilpatrick said: “I am delighted with our results which are a testimony to the hard work and diligence of our students, combined with the commitment of teachers and support of parents.”

Two of the school’s students are due to go to Oxford University in September, one of them is Molly Scull from Winscombe, who is going to study German at the prestigious university, she said: “I put pressure on myself because I enjoy my subject and want to do it at the highest level possible.”

Mr Kilpatrick said he hoped the school’s leavers can help to ‘make the world a better place’ and said: “We are all very proud of them and wish them well.”
