PUPILS at Sidcot School had something to shout about as they celebrated a year of outstanding A-level results.
A total of 17 per cent of students achieved A* grades, while 48 per cent gained A* or A, with 100 per cent of students achieving a pass rate.
The school’s outgoing headteacher, John Walmsley, praised the ‘excellent’ results, with students now set to go to Bath Spa University, Kings College London and the University for the Creative Arts in London, among many more.
Mr Walmsley said: “Sidcot is a school that accepts students with wide ranging abilities; so these excellent results are a tribute to the dedication and commitment of everyone at the school in enabling students of all abilities to achieve their personal best.
“Sidcot is proud to continue its record of providing some of the best educational results for students living in the South West and demonstrates that a school does not have to have to be narrowly selective to get first class results.”
