A TEA party for the elderly with cakes and entertainment was organised by year 8 students from Hans Price Academy.
A group of 16 residents from Earlfield Lodge received invitations designed by the students and enjoyed a fun-filled programme of music and games, including bingo and singing.
The event was organised by students as part of their enrichment passport, which involves them using skills such as event organisation, IT, leadership and team work.
Mrs Spicer, year achievement co-ordinator said: “The students have put a lot of hard work, effort and their own time into making this a tea party to remember. It is a chance to invite the local community into the academy and show some of the fantastic community work our students get involved in.”
