THE principal of a Weston academy is leaving to start a new job after three years at the helm.
An announcement this week from the Cabot Learning Federation revealed Hans Price Academy principal Armando Di-Finiziowill be pursuing a new career opportunity supporting schools embarking on new building programmes.
Last year, the school was judged to be good with outstanding features in its first Ofsted inspection since being reinvented from its previous incarnation as Wyvern Community School.
Mr Di-Finizio said: “I will be really sorry to leave Hans Price. The staff, students and parents have been fantastic to work with and together we have achieved so much.”
The new principal will come from the Cabot Learning Federation, which sponsors the academy.
David Carter, chief of the federation, said: “We will be sorry to see Armando move on but we want to thank him for the work he has done in the academy since 2011. We have worked hard to build a team of strong school leaders and one of this team will be appointed to the position of principal before half term.”
