THE business enterprise centre at Weston College has doubled the size of its apprenticeship recruitment team to meet rising demands from employers in North Somerset.
Recruitment co-ordinator James Wilmot, based at the centre in Locking Road, said: “Our applications are up 70 per cent with enquiries from people of all ages, particularly schools leavers interested in apprenticeships.
“Some are taken up as quickly as they come in and demand is soaring.”
The team supports employers’ recruitment needs in a variety of ways including vacancy writing, advertising and assistance with interviews.
