Ashcombe Primary School pupils are having a Grand Pier party.

Year six pupils from a Weston-super-Mare primary school have been celebrating their final days before moving on to secondary school with a party at the Grand Pier.

The 60 students from Ashcombe Primary School celebrated their graduation at the pier, which was influential in the school’s opening in 2014, with an evening of rides and games.

Headteacher Peter Turner said: “The students have been magnificent all year and we are so grateful to the Grand Pier for helping them to spend their last day in style.”
