A WELL-KNOWN children's author was invited to Oldmixon Primary School to inspire young scribes.
Adrian Townsend, famed for writing Gran's Gang, Naughty Lessons and Teachers' Tales visited pupils during their Book Fair last week.
The students have been taking part in the Better Reading Partners scheme. The aim is to raise standards and to help children develop a love of reading.
