MORE than 300 awards were presented to an academy’s students for academic achievement, attendance, work experience placements and contribution to the school.

Parents, staff and students from The Kings Of Wessex Academy in Cheddar listened to entertainment by the Cheddar Valley Music Club Junior Brass Ensemble and other music performances by students.

Headteacher Chris Richardson praised the students’ GCSE and A Level results, as well as the £10,000 raised during Charities Week.
