THE fruit and vegetable plot at Backwell School was given a makeover as youngsters took part in healthy school week.
Armed with trowels and spades, the pupils planted vegetable seeds ready to tend to throughout the year.
Cleeve Nursery, Draper, Suttons and Sanders GardenWord gave the school plenty of tools, seeds and advice to help them revitalise their allotment.
Volunteers from Brandon Trust helped to dig the area while dedicated students Peter Anson, Leanne Mackeller, Lily Stockwell, Heidi Hunt and Rob Gall got their hands dirty carrying out the rest of the hard work.
