The Friends of Westhaven Parent Teacher Association (PTA) held a ball and auction on Weston’s Grand Pier.

The Imperialists performed on the night and signed footballs, rugby balls and sportswear were available to the highest bidder.

Dawn Morgan from the Friends of Westhaven PTA, said: “We are really happy with the way the night went.

“We’d like to say a big thank you to The Imperialists for performing for free on the night and to all of our supporters.”

The school in Uphill needs to raise £100,000 for a new sports hall and the next event in aid of the cause is a ladies’ pamper evening at the school on June 22 at 6.30pm.

Tickets are £2 in advance or £3 on the door and can be booked by emailing friendsofwesthaven@westhavenschool.org.uk
