STUDENTS from St Georges Primary School showcased their musical talents at its spring concert, with more than 80 children taking part.

A choir, an orchestra, four recorder groups and several solo instrumentalists and vocalists took to the stage throughout the evening.

The school’s music co-ordinator Annie Doswell said: “The soloists all receive lessons either from the North Somerset Music Service teachers who come to our school to teach brass, woodwind, guitar, keyboard and voice, or from private teachers outside of school.

“Music is very strongly supported within our school and the pupils performed an excellent programme of music, from classical to musical theatre. We had an audience of approximately 180 people who thoroughly enjoyed the evening’s entertainment.”
