THE reception class of Winscombe Primary School has raised money from the sale of bird tables to pay for play equipment in the courtyard.
This was a team effort between resident Gordon Tilden, who made the tables using recycled wood, B&Q which donated extra equipment and Somerset Wood Recycling which donated wood – and of course the parents who purchased the tables.
New playhouses have been bought using the money raised and Martin Thatcher, from Thatchers Cider, also donate trees which have been planted in the school grounds.
Anyone who would like to by a bird table, priced 15, ring the school on 01934 843407.
