BOOKWORMS at a Somerset school have been invited to fulfil one of their New Year’s resolutions by taking part in the Six Books Challenge 2011.
The Kings of Wessex pupils are challenged to read six books from a designated bookcase for all ages and reading abilities, and then share their opinions with the school’s learning resource centre (LRC) staff.
This challenge is a national event to encourage people to read and the LRC will award prizes in the summer term for students who accomplish the six-book target.
Bridget Knutston, LRC manager, said: “We hope the Six Books Challenge will be a wonderful experience for our students to enjoy reading and put their review skills to the test.”
