Bournville Primary School’s summer fair was a huge success, raising almost £2,000 for new equipment for the children.

The fair, which took place on July 6, saw parents, staff and students enjoy games and stalls.

The event raised £1,600 for new book bags for reception children and play equipment for all age groups at the Weston school, thanks to donations from parents, staff and local companies.

A Bournville spokesman said: “The fair was a great success, even the weather was kind. We couldn’t have done it without the super support of all the hard-working staff.”
