CHILDREN were sponsored to carry buckets of water to raise money for a charity helping people abroad.

The 50 pupils from Shipham First School raised £283 for Water Aid, which provides people with access to safe water.

It was one of many events held during retiring headteacher Antonia Gwyn’s last week.
