BURNHAM’S online centre is aiming to get people active on the internet as part of a special Get Online week event.
The event is taking place on Friday, October 22 at the Burnham Area Youth Centre in Cassis Close, and will let people without knowledge of computers get to grips with the online world.
The centre is opening its doors to all comers between 10.30am and 4pm, and Mike Lang, volunteer manager for UKonline at the centre, thinks it will help people change their lives.
He said: “The internet is helping millions of people get more out of their lives, and I can guarantee that whoever you are it’s got something you’ll find helpful, fun or interesting.”
