POPPY poems were read out by proud pupils at a special Remembrance Day service.
Students from Burrington Primary School gathered at the village churchyard for a two-minute silence before listening to the Last Post call by year five trumpet players Daisy and Freddie.
The service was led by class two pupils who read poems and explained the significance of the poppy.
Caretaker Paul Husher, who was a member of the Merchant Navy, brought in a huge flag for the ceremony
