YEAR four pupils from Shipham First School enjoyed a close-up look at some of Britain’s best-known landmarks during a trip to London.

The youngsters travelled by train and underground to get to the capital, where they enjoyed a tour of the Houses of Parliament with MP Tessa Munt, and watched a House of Commons debate.

Children then walked to the National Gallery, stopping off at Horseguards Parade to see horses and soldiers resplendent in their ceremonial garb.
