Children at a Hewish holiday club put their baking skills to the test on Tuesday to make an array of tasty desserts.

Twenty-five children, aged four to 12, attended the session.

Leader Ellie Frake said: “The kids had a fabulous time for sweet tooth cooking day, which was interspersed with outside play in the sunshine, pretend cooking in the mud kitchen and story telling in the willow den.

“Later this holiday the children will be going on a Shaun In The City hunt and on our farmyard Friday they will be making scarecrows, having a go at milking and cheering on our pets in a live duck race.”

Ellie said some of the junior bakers were so inspired they now want to try their hand at competing on The Great British Bake Off.
