THEY came from outer space – and now Somerset youngsters need to tell them all about their village.

Children from Berrow Primary School in Rugosa Drive investigated an ‘alien wreckage’ in their grounds after Avon and Somerset Constabulary visited to tape off the crash site.

PCSOs Pete Williams and Sarah England cordoned off the odd craft and found a letter asking children if Berrow is the right place for an extra-terrestrial landing.

Year two children then set about writing all about the village’s landmarks and geography.

Headteacher Heather Hector said: “They were so excited this morning. It has really set them alight.”
