Christmas gift to school

A NORTH Somerset academy has received a useful Christmas gift - of £141,000 for new windows.

Priory Community School received the money from education minister Michael Gove.

It will pay for hundreds of new windows at the Queensway site in Worle.

The academy was one of 438 in the country to receive a cash boost.

It is on the back of a previous grant of £1.4 million earlier this year, which led to the building of its Sir Richard Branson Centre.

Every one of the old windows in the school will be replaced in the new year.
