Year 11 students at Churchill Academy donned glamorous frocks and suits before hitting the dancefloor for their school prom.

Around 200 students made their way to the school to celebrate the end of their examinations, engaging in the customary ballroom formalities before dancing to a few more modern hits.

The school’s pupils arrived in a variety of flash vehicles and comical modes of transport, including a few pushed along by their mates in a wheelbarrow.

For a few, it was their final farewell to the school, but many will be back again in September to commence their A-level studies.
