A village preschool has earned praise from inspectors.
Churchill Preschool, which is based at the memorial hall in Ladymead Lane, has been rated good by education watchdog Ofsted after an inspection last month.
The preschool – which caters for up to 26 children aged two to four – was last inspected in 2015, when it also received a good rating.
Ofsted’s report said: “Leaders and staff have a good understanding of how children learn. Staff make regular observations and assessments of children’s achievements, and they monitor individual children’s learning well.
“Children and their families are supported very well. Leaders and staff work in effective partnerships with other professionals to support children’s care and learning needs.
“Staff are good role models for children. They take every opportunity to praise children’s positive behaviour. Children learn how to share, take turns and to negotiate solving problems.”
