MATHS, English and science classes were ditched for the day in favour of juggling balls, tightropes and diabolos.

Jammy the Clown from Dodgers Circus popped in to Churchill Primary School to pass on tips and skills to the children.

Staff and youngsters dressed up as clowns themselves with some of them experimenting with stilts too.

The impressive skills learned will be put to the test on Sunday when the parent teacher associations of Churchill and Burrington primary schools hold a family circus day.
