WESTON College law students tasted the corridors of power on a visit to the Houses of Parliament and the Supreme Court in London.
The A-level students listened to Speaker John Bercow’s traditional opening ceremony to Prime Minister’s Question Time in the House of Commons.
Student Kirsty Bancroft said: “Some of us are applying to university to study law so the day provided an insight into the profession and the relationship between Parliament and the highest court in the land.”
The college’s law department is holding an open day for prospective students on Wednesday. Call 01934 411411 for details.
