Miniature swashbucklers and buccaneers took over a village during an end-of-year school production.

There were swords, eye-patches and beards aplenty as the year six pupils of Hutton Primary School performed their production, Pirates Of The Curry Bean – a musical aimed specifically at youngsters in key stage two.

The adventure story follows a brother and sister who discover a pirate map, but it is stolen by the infamous Redbeard who also kidnaps the siblings’ mother.

Children have been rehearsing all term and have twice performed the hour-long show to more than 200 people in the village hall.
