A WEEK of events to celebrate a school being given an art award saw youngsters create a mural on the theme of community.
Children aged six to 11 at Bournville Primary School worked with artist Damien Jeffery to create the piece in the school’s playground.
The theme was on the school’s place in the community and incorporated elements of Weston including the Grand Pier and also puts the town on a map of Britain.
The painting was part of a week of arts events including photography, drama, drawings and storytelling.
It was to celebrate the school being given an Artsmark from the Arts Council.
