A village children’s group premiered a film they made this week to friends and family.

Congresbury Youth Partnership (CYP) enjoyed a residential trip to Watchet earlier this year, and children were challenged to investigate the history behind a local legend.

The group was recorded by a team from Blackwater Productions, who captured the children’s investigation on film.

The film was premiered this week, with family, friends and the parish council in attendance.

CYP youth manager Sarah Storey said: “The group had a weekend in Watchet and used investigative journalism to explore a local fable and see if there was any truth to it.

“They absolutely loved it. I was really proud of the outcome, they did a fantastic job.”
