FACE-PAINTING, cakes and plants all formed part of a summer fair in Congresbury on Saturday.
The village horticultural society, which is also celebrating its 75th anniversary this year, hosted the show on St Andrews Primary School playing field.
There was a 1930s fancy-dress theme and many arts and crafts activities were laid on.
Prizes were given to the best vegetables, plants and flower arrangements and many individual stalls were set up to raise money for various charities.
The village fete committee organised a scarecrow competition and a group of children, who are campaigning for a village skatepark, scooped the first prize with their skater dude creation.
