A North Somerset library hosted its first children’s crafting session to start a packed programme of summer holiday activities.

Congresbury Community Library welcomed youngsters to showcase their creative side at its first art workshop.

Lots of children took part in the crafting session, which will take place at the library, in Station Road, every Monday from 2.30-4.30pm until August 21.

The workshop taught the children how to make rabbit masks, felt finger puppets, a bear pencil holder, and even their own secret agent kit.

Congresbury Parish Council recently took over the library after North Somerset Council conducted a cost-cutting review.

The parish council is the only one in the district to take control of its library, with others instead operating with staffless opening times.
