A North Somerset preschool, which is under threat of closing, hosted a fun day at the weekend to raise much-needed funds.
Congresbury Community Preschool hosted a fair on Saturday at St Andrew’s Primary School to raise money for the running of the service.
Despite the inclement weather which threatened to thwart the fundraiser, the preschool, which caters for children aged two to four, scooped a valuable £340 from the well-attended fun day.
Children enjoyed a bumper selection of activities, including a bouncy castle and face-painting.
Sponge throwing, sunflower painting and a tombola were also enjoyed by the families in attendance who later tucked into some delicious sweet treats and barbecue food.
The preschool held an extraordinary general meeting last week to alert villagers to its need for more parent and community support to keep it running, and called on people to get involved.
