NORTH Somerset Council is inviting parents to have their say on what future school term dates should be.

Dates for the 2013/2014 school year are currently under review and the council wants parents to pick between one of two potential options.

School organisation manager Tony Pearle said: “This is a yearly process and we try and agree dates with neighbouring to ensure consistency and continuity throughout the area.

“This takes account of families who may live in one authority’s area but have children attending a school in another authority’s area.”

The consultation is open from now under December 16.

People wanting to contribute can contact Mr Pearle by emailing school.organisation@n-somerset.gov.uk or go to the consultation website on www.n-somerset.gov.uk/schooldates201314.
