CHILDREN from a Somerset school sang African songs and learned about traditional craft objects this week as part of a term of learning about the continent.
Juliet Nasuuna Mukisa visited Shipham First School in Turnpike Road to tell pupils about her work with orphans and vulnerable children and showed them items from a children’s home in Uganda.
Headteacher Antonia Gwynn said: “We hope to raise funds for the children’s home and make links with the children there.”
