A DANCE group, which has toured overseas and performed with a Russian dance school, is looking to recruit members for its new term.

Kazdanz Dance Group has been running at King Alfred School in Highbridge for more than 20 years and is looking for aspiring dancers aged 12-18.

Previous dance experience is not necessary to join up and the group practises a range of styles including jazz, creative contemporary dance and ballet.

Alec Brice, the group’s director, said: “The purpose of Kazdanz is to give young people an opportunity to enjoy dance as a creative art form, regardless of their circumstances or ability. Those who can’t afford the £20 term fee can attend as usual.”

Kazdanz meets on Wednesdays from 7-8.30pm in the drama studio at the school in Burnham Road. Call 01934 713376 to find out more.
