A STORYTELLER visited a school in Blackford to teach youngsters more about Mayan civilisation.
Clive Pig taught the year six pupils at Hugh Sexey Middle School, in Sexeys Road, about daily life in the ancient civilisation, including sport, religion and farming.
The children took part in drama workshops to demonstrate the interesting – and sometimes gruesome – facts they had learned about the lost civilisation.
The work was part of a year six history topic.
Youngsters also discovered how the Maya people survived in South American jungles and learned more about their traditions.
