Dressing up to concoct a royal menu

A GROUP of pupils channelled the spirit of the 1950s by dressing up in clothing from the time to put together a menu for the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee.

Youngsters from Ashcombe Primary School in Earlham Grove are entering a national competition to design courses fit for royalty.

Winning schools will be invited to visit Buckingham Palace and have their menu prepared by Her Majesty’s chefs.

Children worked on their meals and served food in 1950s clothing to a group of teachers, parents and governors at the school.
