GERMANY may have knocked England out of the World Cup – but the tide was turned in a keenly-contested football challenge in Weston this week.
A group of youngsters on an exchange trip from Weston’s twin town of Hildesheim locked horns with their North Somerset hosts in an annual football match.
And for the first time in three years, it was the English who ran out winners from the clash at Hans Price Academy in Marchfields Way.
The match was the final event during a ten-day cultural trip packed with trips, events and visits around the West Country.
