CHILDREN at Lancaster House have learnt about the importance of water this week as they raised money for the poorest families in the world by donating money to WaterAid.

The children were sent home with empty Smarties tubes and asked to fill them with 20p coins. A total of £79.40 was raised.

In a special assembly pupils were treated to music from Richard Stilgoe made especially for the charity before putting their tubes in a cardboard well which the kids had helped paint.
